Mike Kaplan 

Michael C. Kaplan focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Mike provides strategic local counsel to numerous banks and credit unions throughout Georgia and the United States assisting with the collection of debts, state court litigation and vehicle title issues. Michael also assists a number of landlords and property management companies in dispossessory and related actions for office, multifamily, multi-use and retail assets.

A graduate of the Washington University School of Law, Mike has been practicing law in Georgia for over 20 years. Mike frequently lectures on commercial collections and leasing issues.

Virginia Bogue

A partner of Kaplan, Bogue and Cooper, P.C., Jenny Bogue specializes in the fields of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. Virginia provides strategic local counsel to numerous banks and credit unions throughout Georgia and the United States assisting with the collection of debts, bankruptcy cases, state court litigation and vehicle title issues. 

A graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Virginia has been practicing law in Georgia for over fifteen years. Virginia graduated from the Leadership Academy of The Georgia Association for women lawyers. She has been a lecturer on bankruptcy issues at various seminars.

Chris Cooper

A founding member of Kaplan, Bogue & Cooper, P.C., Chris Cooper has been practicing in the commercial finance, commercial real estate and corporate law sectors in Atlanta for over 15 years. Chris provides strategic counsel to numerous national and regional banks, credit unions, lenders, developers and investors throughout Georgia and the United States assisting principally in commercial lending, commercial real estate matters, commercial foreclosures and business formations.

Since founding Kaplan, Bogue & Cooper in 2017, Mr. Cooper has represented developers and lenders in the acquisition and finance of over $400 million in commercial real estate assets.

A third-generation Atlantan, Chris returned to his hometown to practice law after receiving degrees from Wake Forest University and The University of Richmond School of Law.

•Represented an Atlanta developer in the acquisition, finance and ground lease of two medical office towers in San Antonio, Texas valued at over $60MM.

• Represented a national bank in the refinance of $50MM of mixed debt facilities for a regional restaurant group.

• Represented an Atlanta developer in the acquisition, finance and ground lease of an office building project in Sandy Springs valued at $40MM+.

• Represented a national bank in the refinance of $50MM+ in floor plan and real estate debt facilities for one of Atlanta’s largest car dealership groups.

• Represented a Atlanta based logistics company in the acquisition, finance and leasing of five industrial logistical hubs on the East Coast.

• Represented an Atlanta based investment group in the acquisition of a controlling interest in a Massachusetts based genetics company with over $50MM in prior funding rounds.

• Represented an Atlanta developer in the acquisition and financing of medical office buildings and adjacent land in Alpharetta, Georgia valued at over $40MM

• Represented a Atlanta lender and investor in the workout, acquisition and finance of a distressed medical lab asset valued at $10MM+

• Represented a California based private equity fund in the workout and liquidation of a distressed debt portfolio.

• Represented a regional bank in the loan workout and further development of a large sports complex facility in Cherokee County, Georgia.

Samantha Tzoberi

Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and accomplishments to the practice of law in Georgia. In all phases of her academic and professional career, she has made her mark through a dual focus on service and the pursuit of excellence. She completed her undergraduate education magna cum laude and graduated cum laude from the Georgia State University College of Law, where she served as the editor-in-chief of the Georgia State University Law Review.

After finishing law school, Sam accumulated more than a decade of experience at major law firms in Atlanta, representing financial institutions, servicers, investors, corporations, and various other entities. Sam regularly negotiates and litigates issues in the United States Bankruptcy Courts, as well as State Courts and Federal Courts. She has been recognized as one of the top creditor debtor rights attorneys in Georgia by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for only the top 5% of attorneys selected.
